I thank Obama because ...He follows an inspired path filled with logic and compassion. He knows the issues and he cares about the impact. President Obama you are an inspiration to millions in the U.S. and abroad to many young children who will grow up and make good choices because of your leadership and to many others who weren't sure if they could achieve certain successes were you have led the way and said "yes we can". Your willingness to reach out to the opposition and tackle hard political issues demonstrates a thoughtful and balanced person who is not affraid to take a stance or to seek the views of others. You have made significant progress and change legislatively on financial health care elder care housing corporate responsibility social responsibility gay lesbianmilitary and many key policy issues for which I know we will have a better society in the future. Your wife also has impressive achievements during your tenure notably on education health and youth obesity issues. Your commitment to your family shows a man with love and respect in his heart. You value strong women as evidenced in your beautiful wife Michelle and that in itself is empowering to many women around the world. Your steadfastness sense of humor oratory skills and faith in the extraordinary makes you a unique leader maybe even the ideal leader for the 21st century America. Your appreciation for other cultures religions ways of life diversity and peace is a welcome approach as leader of the USA. In my wildest dreams I couldn't have imagined a more ideal (and idealistic?) President than you (only perhaps if it were a woman?!). Thank you for dreaming for daring for learning for speaking and for seeking out this position of power. I am so proud to call you our President. Andrea DaSilva
